Commissioner Mark Cochran is a native of Rome, Georgia, and is a successful business owner of two small, local businesses. Mark is a licensed Architect and Interior Designer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Georgia Southern University. From there, he earned a Master of Architecture degree from The New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Mark is married, with two children. He and his wife, Michelle, are both real estate agents with Hardy Realty and have been married for over twenty years.
Mark currently chairs the Public Works Committee and sits on the Public Safety, Transportation and Planning, Development Oversight, and Solid Waste Committees for the City of Rome. He is a past member of the Chamber of Commerce, Historic Preservation Commission, Rome Area Council for the Arts, Rome Floyd Commission on Children and Youth, and the Historic Desoto Foundation. Mark is a graduate of Leadership Rome, class XXV.
