Smoke Alarms
The Rome-Floyd County Fire Department has partnered with The American Red Cross to supply smoke alarms to homes in the Rome and Floyd County community.

Fire Investigations & Information
All fire investigations are conducted in accordance with the guidelines and standards of NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033.

Fire Prevention-Fire Marshal's Office
The Division of Fire Prevention with the Rome Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for Fire and Life Safety for Rome and Floyd County.

Fire Marshal's Office-Plan Review
Plans shall be submitted for all new construction, major renovations/remodels, sprinkler system installations, fire alarm installations, and hood suppression systems. Plan submittals shall be in accordance with the most currently adopted editions of the State Minimum Standards as adopted into law by the State of Georgia and Rome/Floyd County.
