Chief Troy Brock was sworn in as the Fire Chief for Rome/Floyd County Fire Department on April 17, 2015. Chief Brock started his career with Rome/Floyd Fire Department in 1990 as a rookie firefighter. He was promoted through the ranks of the department serving in each capacity. Chief Brock received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and his Master's in Emergency Service Management from Columbia Southern University.
He is a graduate of Leadership Rome, Dale Carnegie, and has completed Managing Tactical Operations I, II, and III along with ISO classes. He has completed Incident Command classes and has served as the Incident Commander on several large-scale multi-company emergencies in the Rome and Floyd County area. Chief Brock leads by example and believes our greatest asset is our employees. He seeks to find the best in each employee that he leads.
